Job Purpose

To provide quality eye-care services through eye examinations, vision testing, identifying vision problems, and assisting doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

1. Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.

2. Check visual acuity, refraction, and prescribe spectacles as per clinical guidelines.

3. Perform objective and subjective refraction.

4. Identify vision problems and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.

5. Assist doctors during consultations and clinical procedures.

6. Operate and maintain optometry equipment.

7. Explain test results and eye-care instructions to patients.

8. Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.

9. Coordinate with the optical, OPD, and other clinical departments.

10. Ensure patient satisfaction and follow proper clinical protocols.

11. Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the examination room and equipment.

12. Support patient education on eye health and preventive care.
