Design and optimize hybrid cloud network architectures across GCP and Azure to ensure secure scalable and resilient infrastructure for global operations applying extensive experience to modernize connectivity enhance performance and support digital enablement and delivery initiatives that create sustainable value for customers and society.
Responsibilities
- Architect end to end hybrid cloud network solutions on GCP and Azure that provide secure scalable and resilient connectivity for enterprise applications and services across global business units.
- Design cloud network topologies including virtual networks subnets routing policies and secure ingress and egress patterns that align with organizational security standards and performance objectives.
- Implement cloud native connectivity patterns such as site to cloud and cloud to cloud integration using virtual private networks private peering and private service access to ensure reliable data flows.
- Optimize network performance by analyzing latency throughput and error patterns and by fine tuning routing firewall rules and traffic distribution mechanisms within GCP and Azure environments.
- Collaborate with application and platform teams to define network requirements translate them into technical designs and ensure that solutions support digital enablement and delivery roadmaps.
- Establish and document cloud network standards and reusable patterns that drive consistency reduce operational risk and accelerate deployment of new digital products and services.
- Configure and maintain network security controls including security groups firewalls and micro segmentation to safeguard workloads while keeping user experience and application agility in focus.
- Develop infrastructure as code templates for cloud networking components using industry standard tooling to support repeatable deployments version control and continuous improvement of network designs.
- Perform regular capacity planning and forecasting for cloud networking resources to ensure that infrastructure can scale with business growth while maintaining cost efficiency and operational reliability.
- Coordinate with operations teams to define monitoring alerting and incident response processes for cloud networking components so that availability and performance objectives are consistently met.
- Review and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across on premises data centers and cloud platforms providing guidance that minimizes downtime and protects critical business transactions.
- Participate in architecture governance forums to present cloud networking proposals assess risk and ensure that infrastructure decisions contribute to sustainable innovation and long term societal benefit.
- Guide transition activities from legacy network architectures to modern cloud based models ensuring smooth migration careful risk management and clear communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Apply extensive experience in GCP cloud networking including virtual private clouds load balancing private connectivity and security configurations to design robust infrastructure solutions.
- Leverage deep practical knowledge of Azure networking including virtual networks application gateways and firewall services to support interoperable and secure hybrid architectures.
