Purpose

To develop conceptual layouts and engineering drawings for pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and cleanrooms during the presales stage. The role involves understanding client requirements, preparing AutoCAD drawings, incorporating GMP and cleanroom design principles and supporting the sales team in technical proposals and client presentations.

Role and Responsibilities

1 Pharmaceutical Facility Conceptual Design

- Prepare conceptual layouts for pharmaceutical facilities, including OSD, injectable, liquid, API and other manufacturing facilities.

2 2D Layout Development and Modification

- Develop and modify AutoCAD drawings covering site master plans, room layouts, equipment placement, AHU locations and cleanroom zoning.

3 Cleanroom Planning and Zoning

- Plan personnel and material movement, change rooms, airlocks, pressure cascades and cleanroom classifications.

4 Regulatory Compliance

- Ensure facility layouts comply with applicable cGMP, WHO GMP and USFDA requirements.

5 HVAC and Cleanroom Design Coordination

- Apply cleanroom and HVAC design concepts, including airflow zoning, filtration, temperature, humidity and pressure differentials.

6 Utility Requirement Assessment

- Identify preliminary utility requirements, including Purified Water, WFI, compressed air, nitrogen, chilled water, steam and other process utilities.

7 Cross-Functional Design Coordination

- Coordinate with draftsmen, HVAC and utility engineers, and the sales team for design development and technical proposals.

8 Technical Documentation and Client Submissions

- Prepare drawing packages, area statements, technical presentations and preliminary inputs for client submissions.





9 Client Requirement Review and Design Updates

- Review client requirements, existing layouts and equipment lists, and incorporate client feedback into design revisions.

10 Drawing Control and Documentation Management

- Maintain drawing registers, revision histories and systematic design documentation.

11 Technical Discussions and Site Engagement

- Participate in internal technical discussions, client meetings and site visits as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

- 6–8 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical facility design, HVAC, cleanroom projects or engineering consultancy.
- Prior experience in pharmaceutical consultancy, HVAC contracting or cleanroom project organizations is preferred.

Skills:

- AutoCAD (2D): Strong proficiency is mandatory.
- Revit / BIM: Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit and 3D modelling will be an added advantage.
- Good understanding of pharmaceutical facility layouts and cleanroom planning.
- Working knowledge of HVAC systems, AHU zoning, airflow patterns and pressure differentials.
- Understanding of cGMP, WHO GMP and USFDA guidelines.
- Familiarity with personnel and material flow, cleanroom classifications and pharmaceutical utility requirements.
- Ability to prepare accurate technical drawings and presentations within tight timelines.
- Positive coordination, communication and documentation skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

Pay: ₹654,324.00 per year
