Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Open Source Database Administrator (DBA) with strong hands-on experience in administering, managing, monitoring, and optimizing open-source database platforms.

The candidate should have practical experience in at least two of the following database technologies: MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and MySQL, along with expertise in database performance tuning, backup and recovery, replication, high availability, and production support.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, administer, and maintain open-source databases.
- Perform database monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and optimize SQL queries.
- Manage database backup, restoration, and disaster recovery.
- Configure and maintain replication, clustering, and high-availability solutions.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, migration,



and security hardening.
- Monitor database availability, performance, and storage utilization.
- Work closely with application and infrastructure teams.
- Handle production database issues and participate in on-call support.

Mandatory Technical Skills

- Hands-on administration experience in any 2 of the following 3 databases:

- MongoDB

- PostgreSQL

- MySQL
- Robust knowledge of database backup and recovery.
- Experience with database replication and high availability.
- Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems.
- Experience in production database support and troubleshooting.

Good-to-Have Skills

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP database services.
- Shell scripting or Python automation.
- Database monitoring and automation tools.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
