Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Chassis Design Engineer with a minimum of 4 years of experience in automotive component design and development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in vehicle layout preparation, stack-up analysis, tolerance synthesis, detailed component design, and GD&T.;

The ideal candidate should be proficient in SOLIDWORKS for 3D modelling, 2D drawing creation, design verification, and engineering drawing release.

Experience working on two-wheeler vehicle platforms and PLM processes will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare vehicle layouts, perform stack-up analysis, and carry out tolerance synthesis.
- Work on detailed component design and development for chassis-related systems.
- Perform design verification using SOLIDWORKS design tools.
- Create and release 2D engineering drawings and 3D CAD models as per company standards.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and related engineering documentation.
- Apply GD&T; principles to ensure dimensional accuracy, manufacturability, and design feasibility.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements and engineering standards are met.




- Follow engineering change management and PLM processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Minimum 4 years of experience in Automotive Design / Mechanical Design.
- Solid hands-on experience in SOLIDWORKS.
- Experience in 3D modelling, assembly design, and 2D drawing creation.
- Knowledge of vehicle layout preparation, stack-up analysis, and tolerance synthesis.
- Good working knowledge of GD&T.;
- Experience in design verification and engineering drawing release.
- Knowledge of BOM creation and engineering documentation.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage)

- Experience working on two-wheeler vehicle platforms.
- Knowledge of automotive PLM processes.
- Understanding of DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
- Experience in chassis component design and development.
