Responsibilities

- Perform routine EEG investigations as prescribed by neurologists.

- Prepare patients and explain the EEG procedure before the investigation.

- Apply EEG electrodes accurately according to standard protocols.

- Operate EEG equipment and ensure proper signal quality during recordings.

- Perform sleep-deprived EEG, paediatric EEG and video EEG, as per clinical requirements and competency.

- Monitor EEG recordings and identify technical artefacts or abnormalities in signal quality.

- Troubleshoot technical issues during investigations.

- Maintain accurate patient records and investigation documentation.

- Ensure proper maintenance, calibration and cleanliness of EEG equipment.

- Coordinate with neurologists and other clinical staff for smooth patient care.

- Follow infection control, patient safety and hospital quality protocols.

- Ensure timely completion and submission of EEG recordings for consultant interpretation.

Qualifications





- Diploma / B.Sc. in Neuro Electrophysiology, EEG EMG Technology or relevant Allied Health Sciences.

Certification in EEG Technology is preferred.

- Experience: Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in EEG investigations in a hospital or diagnostic centre.

Experience in routine EEG, sleep-deprived EEG and video EEG is preferred.

Skills

- Positive knowledge of EEG procedures and neurodiagnostic equipment.

- Ability to perform electrode placement and troubleshoot recording issues.

- Good patient-handling and communication skills.

- Accuracy in recording, documentation and maintaining investigation records.

- Ability to work independently and coordinate with the neurology team.

- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
