We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Store Manager to independently manage our Jockey Exclusive Store at Hatigaon, Guwahati.

Job Summary

The Store Manager will be responsible for the overall performance and day-to-day management of the store. The role requires strong leadership, sales management, customer service and inventory management skills.

The ideal candidate should be capable of leading a retail team, achieving sales targets, maintaining store standards and ensuring smooth and profitable store operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales & Business Development

- Achieve monthly and daily sales targets.
- Monitor daily sales performance and identify opportunities to increase revenue.
- Drive customer conversion, average transaction value (ATV) and units per transaction (UPT).
- Ensure effective product selling, cross-selling and upselling.
- Analyse sales trends and implement strategies to improve store performance.

2. Store Operations & Management

- Independently manage the daily operations of the Jockey Exclusive Store.
- Ensure timely opening and closing of the store.
- Maintain store cleanliness, product presentation, visual merchandising and overall ambience.
- Ensure adherence to Jockey brand guidelines and company operating procedures.
- Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, grooming and discipline.

3. Team Management & Leadership

- Lead,



supervise and motivate the store sales team.
- Allocate duties and ensure adequate staff deployment.
- Conduct regular team briefings and sales performance reviews.
- Train employees on product knowledge, customer service and selling techniques.
- Monitor individual employee performance and productivity.

4. Inventory & Stock Management

- Monitor stock availability and ensure appropriate product assortment.
- Coordinate stock replenishment and inter-store stock transfers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prevent stock discrepancies.
- Monitor fast-moving, slow-moving and ageing inventory.
- Conduct regular stock checks and participate in periodic stock audits.

5. Customer Service

- Ensure customers receive a professional and pleasant shopping experience.
- Handle customer queries, complaints, returns and exchanges in accordance with company policy.
- Maintain high standards of customer engagement and satisfaction.
- Build customer relationships and encourage repeat visits.

6. Cash, Billing & Reporting

- Ensure accurate billing and proper POS operations.
- Monitor daily cash closing and cash-handling procedures.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of cash, card and UPI transactions.
- Prepare daily sales reports and other operational reports.
- Maintain records of sales, inventory, attendance and store expenses.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate in any discipline; candidates with relevant retail experience may also be considered.
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in retail store management, preferably in apparel, fashion or lifestyle retail.




- Experience in handling a retail sales team and achieving sales targets.
- Good understanding of inventory management, POS billing and store operations.
- Strong communication, leadership and customer-handling skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with MS Excel.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of store performance.
- Fluency in English, Hindi and Assamese will be an advantage.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

The Store Manager's performance will be evaluated on:

- Achievement of monthly sales targets.
- Growth in sales and customer footfall conversion.
- Average Transaction Value (ATV) and Units Per Transaction (UPT).
- Inventory accuracy and stock management.
- Customer satisfaction and service standards.
- Team productivity, attendance and staff retention.
- Compliance with company and Jockey operating standards.
