Job Description – Quality Checker & Assurance Executive
Location: Umbergaon, Gujarat

Qualification: B.Sc. (Chemistry / Science) or B.Pharm.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Checker & Assurance Executive with 2–3 years of experience in packaging QA/QC, preferably in the cosmetics, skincare or personal care industry. The candidate will be responsible for inspecting packaging materials, monitoring packaging operations, maintaining quality standards and ensuring compliance with GMP requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Incoming Material Inspection

- Inspect incoming primary and secondary packaging materials as per approved specifications and samples.
- Check dimensions, weight, colour, printing, artwork, fitment and finish.
- Perform AQL sampling and review vendor COA and test reports.
- Approve, reject or hold materials and maintain inspection records.
- Coordinate with vendors and purchase teams for quality issues and rejections.

2. Packaging Quality Control

- Conduct line clearance before starting production batches.
- Monitor filling, capping, labelling, coding, shrink sleeving and cartoning operations.
- Perform leak tests, torque tests, drop tests and functional checks.
- Verify batch packing records and ensure finished goods meet quality standards.
- Investigate packaging defects and customer complaints and support root cause analysis and CAPA.

Quality Documentation & Compliance

- Maintain inspection reports, checklists, rejection records and quality documentation.
- Prepare and update packaging material specifications, standard samples and SOPs.
- Support vendor qualification and supplier audits.
- Ensure GMP, hygiene and safety practices are followed on the shop floor.
- Assist in internal, customer and regulatory audits.

Required Skills & Experience

- 2–3 years of experience in packaging QA/QC.
- Knowledge of packaging materials.
- Hands-on experience in incoming material inspection and AQL sampling.
- Ability to operate basic QC instruments such as Vernier Caliper, weighing balance and torque tester.
- Knowledge of GMP, line clearance, deviations and CAPA.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel.

Preferred Qualification

- B.Sc. (Chemistry / Science) or B.Pharm.
- Diploma in Packaging Technology or knowledge of ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP) will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
