Role Overview

Looking for a hands-on Manual QA Tester with 3–5 years of experience in testing browser-based web applications. The candidate will test a finance payment platform involving multiple user roles, approval workflows, payment processes, and integrations with enterprise finance systems.

The role primarily focuses on manual functional testing, end-to-end business workflow validation, regression testing, defect management, and UAT support.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and application workflows.
- Prepare test scenarios, detailed test cases, test data, and requirement traceability.
- Perform manual testing, including functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, smoke, exploratory, negative, and boundary testing.
- Validate role-based access, user permissions, authorization rules, and segregation of duties.
- Test web application components such as forms, mandatory fields, calculations, dropdowns, search, filters, attachments, notifications, dashboards, and reports.
- Validate complete payment workflows, including submission, approval, rejection, resubmission, and status transitions.
- Test application integrations and verify successful, failed, and exception scenarios.
- Log defects with clear reproduction steps, expected and actual results, severity, priority, and screenshots.
- Perform retesting and risk-based regression testing after defect fixes.
- Support UAT preparation, execution, defect tracking, and closure.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide testing updates, blockers, risks,



and release-readiness inputs.

Mandatory Skills & Experience Overall QA Experience 3–5 years of software testing experience Manual Testing Robust hands-on manual testing of web applications

Test Case Design Ability to derive test scenarios and test cases from requirements and user stories

Functional Testing Experience in functional, system, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, negative, and boundary testing

Workflow Testing Experience testing approval workflows, role-based access, authorization, and status transitions

End-to-End Testing Ability to validate complete business workflows rather than individual screens

Defect Management Defect logging, severity/priority assignment, retesting, and closure

Agile Methodology Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams

Documentation Test cases, execution results, traceability, and test evidence

Communication Ability to explain defects clearly and collaborate with business and technical teams.

Preferred Skills

- Azure DevOps: Experience managing test cases, work items, bugs, and test execution.
- API Testing: Basic REST API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- SQL: Basic SQL queries for validating application data and integration outcomes.
- Finance Domain: Experience testing payment platforms, invoice processing, financial transactions, or banking applications.
- Automation: Basic exposure to Selenium, Playwright, or other automation tools.
