Manager – Strategic Intelligence (Engagement Manager)

Location: Hyderabad / Gurugram, India

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with investment and research professionals, helping them gain valuable industry insights by identifying and engaging subject-matter experts across diverse sectors.

You will play a key role in managing expert-sourcing engagements, building relationships with senior industry professionals, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality research support. The position also offers exposure to global investment research and opportunities to contribute to process improvements through automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Responsibilities And Priorities

- Identify, source, recruit, and engage industry professionals and subject-matter experts to support investment research requirements.
- Partner with internal research teams and investment professionals to understand project objectives and develop targeted expert-sourcing strategies.
- Conduct outreach to senior executives and industry specialists through phone, email, skilled networking platforms, and other sourcing channels.
- Evaluate expert profiles, professional backgrounds, and industry experience to assess their suitability for specific research requirements.
- Manage multiple expert recruitment pipelines simultaneously, ensuring timely execution and delivery.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-value experts and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
- Handle expert queries, negotiate participation, and convert initial outreach into successful engagements.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while handling sensitive and confidential information.
- Identify opportunities to enhance sourcing strategies, recruitment processes, and engagement workflows.




- Collaborate with technology teams to explore automation and AI-enabled tools to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

- 4–8 years of relevant experience in research-oriented, expert sourcing, recruitment, or stakeholder-facing roles.
- Strong experience in identifying, approaching, assessing, and engaging relevant professionals.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments and prioritise competing requirements within tight timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, persuasion, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail, and sound professional judgment.
- Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders while maintaining discretion and confidentiality.

Experience And Skills

- Experience in expert networks, executive search, specialist recruitment, primary research, client solutions, or commercial due diligence.
- Proven ability to source and engage senior professionals and subject-matter experts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication capabilities.
- Experience managing multiple sourcing or recruitment pipelines simultaneously.
- Familiarity with outreach, sourcing, and conversion metrics.

Tools, Tech And Platform Capabilities

- Familiarity with professional networking and sourcing platforms.
- Exposure to CRM systems, expert databases, and recruitment or research tools.
- Interest in leveraging AI, automation, and data analytics to improve sourcing and recruitment workflows.

Qualifications, Licenses And Academic Achievements

- Bachelor's or master's degree in Business Administration, Communications, Law, Finance, or a related discipline.
