Job Purpose

To provide quality eye-care services through eye examinations, vision testing, identifying vision problems, and assisting doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision tests.
- Check visual acuity, refraction, and prescribe spectacles as per clinical guidelines.
- Perform objective and subjective refraction.
- Identify vision problems and refer patients to ophthalmologists when required.
- Assist doctors during consultations and clinical procedures.
- Operate and maintain optometry equipment.
- Explain test results and eye-care instructions to patients.
- Maintain accurate patient records and examination reports.
- Coordinate with the optical, OPD, and other clinical departments.
- Ensure patient satisfaction and follow proper clinical protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of the examination room and equipment.
- Support patient education on eye health and preventive care.
