- Position Title: Manager Engineering
- Role Summary: Seeking hands-on Manager Engineering to lead team(s) towards successful delivery of projects and products. This results-driven individual will be responsible for the strategic approach to ensure efficiency in the delivery, performance and quality of applications and services. The candidate will need to have a solid drive and commitment towards collaborative problem solving, identifying workable solutions, removing roadblocks across the development team, IT operations (infrastructure), and business teams. The successful candidate must have a strong understanding of technical concepts and systems gained through experience of building UI, systems, services in past roles.

- Key Responsibilities:

- People Leadership:
- Owns goal setting, ongoing feedback, and formal performance reviews for direct reports
- Identifies performance issues early and works with direct leadership and HR on improvement plans when needed
- Partners with HR and leadership on hiring needs, interview loops, and candidate evaluation
- Participates in staffing plans, succession planning, and role clarity for their team
- Coach engineers on career paths, skill development, and promotion readiness
- Aligns individual development goals with team and organizational needs
- Ensures team adherence to company policies (attendance, timesheets, training, conduct)

- Technical Leadership:
- Accountable for the success of the assigned deliverable (i.e. This could mean managing multiple projects or teams rolling up to a deliverable/initiative)
- Ability to identify and manage risk to deliverables to include developing contingency plans to mitigate issues.
- Technical project planning and resource management. This will include ability to generate reports using data and provide analysis accordingly (i.e. Azure DevOps, Power BI)




- Provides technical leadership (guidance and mentorship) to the team to ensure they have the skills and support they need to complete their tasks
- Required to effectively communicate upwards and with peers across the IT organization on progress, plans and roadblocks
- Effectively manage and communicate design/implementation plans and tradeoffs to arrive at desired solutions
- Ability to adapt to new technology, changing priorities and environments
- Proactively and effectively apply automation and artificial intelligence to improve outcomes and efficiencies
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
- Experience in cloud-based technology (Azure preferred)
- Experience in containerized workloads and microservice architectures

- Experience in DevOps practices

- Technical Qualifications Needed
- Work Experience Range: 6+ years of management or supervisory experience, 7+ years of development experience including high-level role.

- Mandatory Required skills:
- Track record of successful project and product delivery (on time and with quality).
- Ability to manage and deliver complex work from start to finish
- Extensive development experience with proficiency in .NET, Angular, and/or ASP.NET

- Experience with Agile SDLC
- Experience scaling team capabilities through process improvement, automation, and artificial intelligence as measured with KPIs.

- Project management experiences
- Communication: Ability to translate complex technical issues for non-technical stakeholders and manage client relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Expert analytical skills for root-cause analysis and follow-on actions

- Desired Skills
- Timeshare or Hospitality industry experience is a plus

- Education:
- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- Certifications
- Azure developer certifications are a plus but not required.
