Job Summary

Medipol Pharmaceuticals India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and technically competent Maintenance Manager to oversee engineering, maintenance and utility operations at its pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing facility in Baddi.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted plant operations through effective preventive and breakdown maintenance, equipment reliability, utility management, infrastructure upkeep and compliance with applicable GMP requirements and revised Schedule M.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, plant utilities, HVAC systems, engineering maintenance and team management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities of the pharmaceutical manufacturing facility.
- Ensure preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance of all production and utility equipment.
- Maintain and monitor HVAC systems, AHUs, chillers, boilers, compressors, DG sets, electrical panels and other critical utilities.
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of purified water systems, water treatment plants and other plant utility systems.
- Handle maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as mixers, granulators, compression machines, coating machines, capsule filling machines, blister packing and other packaging equipment, as applicable.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise equipment downtime.
- Monitor machine performance, equipment efficiency and recurring breakdowns.
- Ensure proper maintenance documentation,



equipment history cards, breakdown reports and preventive maintenance records.
- Coordinate with Production, QA, QC, Stores and other departments for smooth plant operations.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, revised Schedule M, safety standards and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with QA for maintenance-related deviations, CAPA, change controls and equipment qualification activities.
- Manage engineering spares, inventory, vendor coordination and maintenance-related procurement.
- Supervise and guide the engineering and maintenance team, technicians and external service providers.
- Ensure calibration and maintenance of critical equipment in coordination with the concerned departments.
- Identify opportunities for energy conservation, cost reduction and improvement in equipment reliability.
- Ensure workplace safety, electrical safety, equipment safety and proper maintenance of plant infrastructure.

- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant Engineering discipline.
- 6–10 years of experience in engineering and maintenance operations.
- Pharmaceutical formulation manufacturing experience will be preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical plant utilities, HVAC, electrical systems and manufacturing equipment.
- Understanding of GMP, revised Schedule M and pharmaceutical audit requirements.
- Experience in preventive maintenance planning, breakdown analysis and equipment troubleshooting.
- Strong team management, coordination and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work at the Baddi manufacturing facility.
