Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Machine Shop Manager with strong hands-on expertise in precision machining of engineering plastics and fluoropolymer components. The candidate will be responsible for CNC/VMC/TMC machine programming, setup, machining operations, job planning, dimensional inspection and process improvement to ensure high precision, quality and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform precision machining of engineering plastics and fluoropolymers such as PTFE, PEEK, PFA, UHMWPE, Nylon, Acetal and PVDF.
- Independently operate, program and set up CNC, VMC and TMC machines.
- Handle machine setup, tool selection, fixtures, work offsets and machining parameters for new and repeat jobs.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds, feeds and machining strategies based on material properties.
- Ensure dimensional accuracy, tolerances and required surface finish of machined components.
- Estimate machining time,



job costing and production requirements.
- Drive process improvements to enhance machining efficiency, productivity and quality.
- Ensure proper inspection, quality documentation and adherence to manufacturing standards.
- Maintain machine shop discipline, equipment upkeep and safe machining practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 7–10 years of experience in CNC machining, precision machining or machine shop operations.
- Strong hands-on experience in CNC, VMC and TMC machine programming and operations.
- Experience machining engineering plastics and fluoropolymer materials such as PTFE, PEEK, PFA, PVDF and UHMWPE is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of precision components, tight tolerances, dimensional inspection and surface finish requirements.
- Experience in low-volume, high-precision or customized machining environments.
- Exposure to ISO 9001, IMS, QA documentation and SAP will be an added advantage.
- Strong problem-solving, job planning, costing and process optimization skills.

Preferred Industry: Precision Plastics Machining, Fluoropolymers, Engineering Plastics, CNC Manufacturing, Chemical, Semiconductor and Pharmaceutical Components.
