Role Purpose

Design, develop and optimize scalable database solutions on SQL Server and Azure SQL, covering data modeling, T-SQL development, query tuning and performance optimization. Build data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Azure services, including Cosmos DB / NoSQL in hybrid architectures. Lead projects, mentor team members and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop scalable database solutions on SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
- Build data models using ER diagrams, normalization and dimensional modeling techniques.
- Develop and maintain stored procedures, triggers, views and functions.
- Perform query tuning, design indexing strategies and optimize database performance.
- Build and orchestrate data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF).
- Work with Azure services such as Synapse and Cosmos DB, and with NoSQL databases in hybrid architectures.
- Lead projects, mentor junior team members and review their work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business, application and data teams.
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide long-term fixes.

- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in database engineering and SQL development.
- Advanced expertise in SQL Server and Azure SQL Database.
- Strong knowledge of data modeling techniques (ER diagrams, normalization, dimensional modeling).
- Proven experience in query tuning, indexing strategies and performance optimization.
- Hands-on SQL development (stored procedures, triggers, views, functions).
- Experience with Azure services: Azure Data Factory (ADF) and NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB).

Perform root-cause analysis to identify and troubleshoot recurring technical issues. Modify software codes to resolve errors, adapt to new hardware and software, enhance performance, and upgrade interfaces."

Implementation-"Collaborate with technical teams to validate configurations, facilitate integration of new applications, and address dependencies during deployment. Prepare user training documents and related frameworks to ensure smooth adoption new applications and minimize transition risks."
