Job Description – STP Operator (Sewage Treatment Plant Operator)

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and technically skilled STP Operator to operate and maintain Sewage Treatment Plants (STP) efficiently. The candidate should have basic knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, plant operations, equipment handling, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate and monitor STP operations on a daily basis.
- Monitor treatment processes such as screening, aeration, clarification, filtration, and disinfection.
- Maintain required pH, DO, MLSS, and other process parameters.
- Monitor pumps, blowers, motors, and other plant equipment.




- Conduct routine inspections and basic preventive maintenance.
- Collect wastewater samples and monitor treatment performance.
- Maintain daily logbooks and operational records.
- Ensure treated water quality meets prescribed standards.
- Identify operational issues and report breakdowns to the Site In-charge.
- Maintain proper housekeeping and follow safety procedures.
