Role & responsibilities :

Job Summary: The Logistics Executive will support the day-to-day logistics and dispatch operations for the Particle Board Factory at Thervoy Kandigai, while being based in Chennai. The role involves coordinating inbound and outbound transportation, handling documentation, ensuring compliance, supporting warehouse operations, and maintaining MIS.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Dispatch Operations:

- Coordinate daily dispatches of finished goods from the Thervoy Kandigai plant
- Liaise with factory, transporters, and customers to ensure timely deliveries
- Maintain dispatch schedules and ensure route efficiency

2. Inbound Logistics:

- Track and follow up on inbound raw material deliveries
- Coordinate unloading and material receipt with factory teams

3. Documentation & Compliance:

- Prepare and manage e-way bills, invoices, LRs, and shipping documents
- Ensure compliance with GST, RTO, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and audit-ready records

4. Vendor & Transporter Coordination:

- Coordinate with transporters for vehicle placement and dispatch status
- Assist in performance tracking and issue resolution

Warehouse & Inventory Support:

- Collaborate with warehouse teams for stock availability, loading, and inventory checks
- Ensure adherence to FIFO and secure handling protocols

6. MIS & Reporting:

- Maintain and update logistics trackers and reports
- Support cost tracking, delivery KPIs, and transporter performance reporting

Key Skills & Competencies:

- Working knowledge of logistics in a manufacturing setup
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP) and MS Excel
- Attention to detail, accuracy in documentation
- Good coordination, communication, and time management skills
- Fluency in English and Tamil; Hindi is a plus
- Willingness to travel to the Thervoy Kandigai factory as needed

Safety Measures :

- Conduct toolbox talks / shift briefings
- Issue and Verify PPE compliance
- Enforce SOP / LOTO / Permit to Work
- Report incidents / near misses promptly and Support incident investigations
- Ensure only trained / authorized persons operate equipment
- Escalate unresolved unsafe conditions, near miss hazards to Line Manager
