Deer Smart Technologies is seeking a Legal & Audit Specialist to support legal, employment compliance, and internal auditing activities in India.

What You Will Do :

- Draft and review contracts and legal documents, including employment contracts, commercial contracts, and confidentiality agreements; maintain a contract register and track performance.
- Manage employment compliance across onboarding, job and salary changes, disciplinary actions, and termination; prepare relevant documents and assist with labour disputes, arbitration, and litigation.
- Oversee Indian employment compliance, including filings of salary scales and payroll records, employment contract amendments, and adherence to local labour regulations; liaise with authorities and legal counsel.
- Monitor changes to Indian laws and regulations, conduct regular compliance checks, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Implement the annual audit plan, conduct financial,



internal control, and special-purpose audits, and prepare reports with improvement recommendations.
- Conduct compliance spot checks of payroll calculations, social insurance contributions, and expense reimbursements; track remediation of audit findings and provide regular updates.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisors.

What We're Looking For:

- Bachelor's degree or above in Law, Auditing, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 2 years of experience in legal or audit functions; cross-border business compliance experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Indian local laws and internal auditing standards.
- High integrity, robust principles, rigorous logical thinking, and effective communication and coordination skills.
- Willingness to travel as required.
