Skills:

- Proven proficiency at a very high level in JavaScript and TypeScript running on Node.js required)

- Ability to use a wide variety of open-source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)

- Strong experience with SQL, MySQL or NoSQL database design and implementation

- Strong understanding of REST API's, micro-services and serverless technologies

- Experience working in an agile development setting and within a small but nimble scrum team

- Parsing JSON and Complex Data Structures; Converting between JSON and native Perl data types is critical knowledge.

- Packages & Directories - Very important!

- Experience with Object Oriented (OO) code, Perl OO patterns, Use of Objects that are blessed hash references, understand circular references and the 'weaken' function, understanding reference counting for memory management,



Heavy use of multiple inheritance and polymorphism (subtleties like the importance of order in declaring inheritance matter).

- Working with functions that return lists of values, understand how assigning return values to variables works with lists, understanding environment variables

- Solid error handling is a critical skill.

- Strong comprehension of scalar references to complex types.

- Heavy use of compile-time code generation, understanding higher-order functions and BEGIN blocks (and related topics).

Education:

- BE/BTech/BS/MS/MTech degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Experience

- Experience working with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6), C++, Java, HTML, and Perl.

- Experience working in Angular, React Native, and Node.JS frameworks

- Exposure to Azure DevOps (ADO), Jira, Bitbucket, and GIT

- Experience working in an agile methodology

- Knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming
- A working understanding of Test Driven Development and CI/CD best practices

- AWS experience, a plus Hands-on development with financial platforms, a plus.
