Role Description The Lead DevOps Specialist is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure for Superfan.ng’s applications and services. This role oversees CI/CD pipelines, automates deployment processes, and ensures smooth integration between development, testing, and production environments.

Daily activities include collaborating with software engineers to improve build and release workflows, monitoring system performance, optimizing cloud resources, and enhancing observability through logging and alerting.

DevOps Specialist also drives best practices in configuration management, backup and recovery, and environment security,



while mentoring team members on DevOps principles and tooling.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Software Development and Integration to support robust and maintainable automation and deployment workflows.
- Hands-on experience with Test Automation and Continuous Integration to ensure reliable builds and frequent, high-quality releases.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure design and management, including cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and modern CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Robust background in system monitoring, logging, and alerting (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) and troubleshooting performance and reliability issues.
- Solid understanding of network security, access control, encryption, and DevSecOps practices within production environments.
- Ability to lead and mentor DevOps and engineering team members, communicate clearly, and collaborate across product and engineering functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a lead or senior DevOps role is preferred.
