- Installation and Commissioning: Unpack, position, and assemble X-ray generators, tubes, high-voltage cables, and digital receptors (DR/CR) according to manufacturer specifications and room shielding guidelines. Read the WHO Medical Device Technical Publication for global technology deployment standards.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Perform scheduled inspections of mechanical locks, collimators, high-voltage insulation, oil levels in tube heads, and control console displays to prevent sudden breakdowns.
- Calibration and Quality Control (QC): Test and adjust electrical and radiation parameters—such as tube voltage (kVp), tube current (mA), exposure time (mAs), beam alignment, and half-value layer (HVL)—to ensure image quality and safe patient dosage.
- Corrective Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair high-voltage generator faults, inverter board failures, flat-panel detector errors, or computer/software glitches to minimize hospital downtime.
- Radiation Safety and Regulatory Compliance: Coordinate with Radiation Safety Officers (RSOs)



and national atomic/health regulatory bodies (such as the AERB in India or FDA/IEC standards globally) to audit room lead shielding, perform radiation leakage surveys, and track dosimetry badges.
- Shielding and Accessory Inspection: Periodically test protective gear (lead aprons, thyroid shields, and gonad shields) via visual or fluoroscopic checks for cracks or integrity loss.
- Staff Training and Workflow Support: Train radiographers and nurses on safe equipment operation, proper positioning, and basic error code recognition to reduce operator-induced damage.
- Documentation and Asset Management: Maintain detailed service logs, calibration certificates, work orders, and equipment identification tagging (EIT) for hospital accreditation and safety audits

Pay: ₹11,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
