Product Manager – ERP & Enterprise Applications

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Product Manager to lead the strategy, functional design, and development of our ERP and enterprise software products.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in ERP systems, product management, business process analysis, workflow design, and cross-functional team coordination. The role involves translating business requirements into scalable product features, managing product roadmaps, prioritizing development activities, and ensuring seamless integration across multiple ERP modules.

The candidate will work closely with Engineering, UI/UX, Business Analysts, QA, Implementation, and other stakeholders to ensure the delivery of business-focused, scalable, and user-friendly enterprise solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Product Strategy & Roadmap Management

- Define and manage product vision, strategy, roadmap, and development priorities.
- Translate business objectives and customer requirements into scalable product features.
- Identify product gaps, improvement opportunities, and process inefficiencies.
- Prioritize product features and development backlogs based on business value, customer needs, and technical feasibility.
- Ensure consistency across different ERP modules and product functionalities.

2. ERP Functional Design & Business Process Management

- Understand and define business processes across ERP modules such as Finance, Accounting, Sales, Procurement, Inventory, HR, CRM, and Operations.
- Design end-to-end workflows, business rules, approval hierarchies, validations, and transaction lifecycles.
- Define relationships, dependencies, and data flows between different ERP modules.
- Identify functional gaps and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities.
- Ensure the ERP product supports multi-company, multi-branch, and role-based access requirements.

3. Requirements Gathering & Documentation

- Conduct client meetings, requirement-gathering sessions, and business discovery workshops.
- Translate business requirements into product requirements, functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Maintain product documentation, including PRDs, functional specifications, process diagrams, and user guides.
- Ensure requirements are clearly documented and communicated to Engineering and QA teams.
- Maintain requirements traceability and manage scope changes throughout the product lifecycle.

4. Product Development & Cross-Functional Coordination

- Work closely with Engineering teams to translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
- Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to review wireframes, prototypes, user journeys, and product interfaces.
- Coordinate with Business Analysts, QA, and Documentation teams to ensure product quality and completeness.




- Review functional specifications and product designs before development handoff.
- Monitor product development progress, release schedules, and feature delivery.

5. API & System Integration

- Define functional requirements for REST APIs, third-party integrations, and data exchange.
- Understand JSON, webhooks, API operations, data mapping, and system dependencies.
- Coordinate with Engineering teams to validate integration requirements and error-handling scenarios.
- Ensure seamless communication and data consistency between ERP modules and external applications.

6. Product Customization & Decision-Making

- Evaluate customer requirements and determine whether they should be incorporated into the core product, offered as configurable features, handled through integrations, or developed as customizations.
- Assess business value, development effort, scalability, and long-term maintenance impact.
- Identify recurring client requirements that can be converted into reusable product features.
- Ensure customer-specific customizations do not affect overall product consistency and maintainability.
- Take ownership of functional decisions and resolve cross-functional issues.

7. Client & Stakeholder Management

- Act as a key point of contact for product-related discussions with clients.
- Conduct product demonstrations, requirement discussions, and functional walkthroughs.
- Manage client expectations regarding product functionality, scope, dependencies, and timelines.
- Coordinate with Engineering, Sales, Implementation, Support, and other internal stakeholders.
- Collect customer feedback and identify opportunities for continuous product improvement.

Required Technical Skills

- ERP and multi-module enterprise product management.
- Product roadmap planning and backlog prioritization.
- Business process mapping and workflow design.
- Functional specifications, PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, webhooks, and system integrations.
- SQL fundamentals, database relationships, and data mapping.
- Requirements traceability and scope management.
- Agile/Scrum methodologies and software development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with Jira, Azure DevOps, or equivalent project management tools.
- Understanding of UI/UX design principles and wireframing tools such as Figma.

Preferred / Advanced Skills

- Experience in financial, banking, accounting, lending, or payment-related products.
- Knowledge of BPMN, UML, swimlane, sequence, and state-transition diagrams.
- Familiarity with Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.
- Experience with approval engines and workflow automation.
- Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS,



multi-company, and multi-branch ERP structures.
- Understanding of audit trails, maker-checker controls, and compliance requirements.
- Experience with user research and usability testing.
- Knowledge of CMMI / ISO quality standards.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- MBA or postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage.
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience in Product Management, ERP Systems, Enterprise Software, Business Systems Analysis, or Product Development.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience owning a product, module, or significant product roadmap.
- Demonstrated experience in defining and delivering ERP, multi-module enterprise products, or SaaS business applications.
- Proven experience in client-facing requirement discovery and stakeholder management.
- Practical understanding of API integrations, data flows, and system dependencies.

Preferred Certifications

- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO).
- SAFe Product Owner / Product Manager.
- CBAP / CCBA or equivalent Business Analysis certification.
- Relevant ERP or Product Management certifications.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a product-oriented professional who combines business understanding, functional expertise, and technical awareness to drive ERP product development. The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing product priorities, understanding complex business workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and making informed product decisions to deliver scalable and business-focused enterprise solutions.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per month
