JOB DESCRIPTION – CIVIL ROAD ENGINEER

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Civil Road Engineer to handle road development and infrastructure works for our Real Estate, Apartment and Villa projects. The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of road construction, earthworks, road levels, pavement layers, drainage systems and site execution.

Required Technical Skills

- Good knowledge of Earthworks, Subgrade and Pavement Layers.

- Experience in Kerbs, Drains, Culverts, Paving and Trench Reinstatement.

- Ability to read and interpret Road Cross Sections, Longitudinal Profiles, Grading Plans, Reinforcement Details and Survey Records.

- Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel.

- Robust knowledge of road alignment, levels, slopes and site execution.

- Demonstrated experience in road construction and level management is essential.

Core Responsibilities

1. Setting Out & Levels

- Coordinate with surveyors to check road alignment, line, level, width, crossfall and slope.

- Verify road levels, plot entries, footpaths and drainage interfaces before execution.

- Ensure all setting-out activities follow approved drawings and survey records.

2. Earthworks

- Supervise excavation, filling, cutting and embankment activities.

- Monitor soil quality, compaction and formation levels.

- Ensure proper preparation of road formation and subgrade.

Subgrade & Pavement Works

- Monitor subgrade preparation, compaction and testing.

- Supervise pavement layers and ensure proper thickness and levels.

- Ensure road construction follows approved specifications and quality standards.

4. Drainage & Road Infrastructure

- Supervise construction of kerbs, stormwater drains and culverts.

- Ensure proper slopes and drainage flow.

- Coordinate road and drainage interface works.

5. Site Execution & Quality Control

- Monitor daily site activities and contractor performance.

- Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings and specifications.

- Maintain site measurements, quality records and progress reports.

- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, surveyors and contractors.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily progress reports and site records.

- Verify measurements and contractor bills.

- Prepare work updates using AutoCAD and MS Excel.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 5–10 years of hands-on experience in Civil Road Construction and Infrastructure Development.

- Experience in Real Estate, Apartment, Villa or Township projects will be preferred.

- Strong practical knowledge of road levels, earthworks and pavement execution.

- Good coordination, problem-solving and site management skills.

Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹120,000.00 per month
