Job Duties:

- Work in the National Independence team to ensure the firms and its professionals compliance with the independence rules of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants (IESBA) as well as BDO independence policies and procedures.

- Build Corporate Tree/Org Chart for BDO clients in Entity Management System (EMS) tool.

- Maintenance and updation of the client’s family tree for conflict searches in EMS tool

- Working with BDO Engagement Teams & BDO member firms to obtain timely response for clearance of possible conflicts.

- Develops and applies an intermediate knowledge of independence policies and procedures.

- Applies application of BDO standards to ensure assigned work is performed in accordance with BDO methodology and requirements.

- Help Juniors in the team by addressing to their queries, sharing best practices and also take up additional responsibilities

- Other duties as required.

Qualifications





- Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably, Accounting or Business)

- MBA Finance or M.Com or Inter CAs

Experience

- 2-4 years of industry related experience in a Public accounting firm required.

Software

- Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required

- Experience with using and maintaining various SharePoint sites preferred

- Experience with tools like Guardian’s Entity Management System (EMS) and Decision Management (DM)

- Experience with using various research tools like CapIQ, BvD & D&B; preferred.
