Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Speech-Language Therapist to work with children experiencing speech, language, communication, and developmental difficulties.

The therapist will assess children's communication abilities, develop individualized therapy plans, conduct therapy sessions, and guide parents in supporting their child's communication development.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

1. Assessment and Evaluation

- Assess speech, language, and communication development in children.

- Identify speech and language delays.

- Evaluate receptive and expressive language skills.

- Assess articulation, pronunciation, fluency, and voice.

- Identify communication difficulties associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and developmental delays.

- Maintain detailed assessment and progress reports.

2. Speech and Language Therapy

- Provide individualized speech and language therapy sessions.

- Work with children experiencing:

- Speech delay and language delay.

- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

- Articulation and phonological disorders.

- Stuttering and fluency disorders.

- Developmental language disorders.

- Social communication difficulties.

- Childhood apraxia of speech, where appropriately trained.

- Feeding and swallowing difficulties, where appropriately trained.

- Improve receptive and expressive communication.

- Develop vocabulary, sentence formation, and conversational skills.

- Encourage functional communication and alternative communication methods (AAC), where appropriate.

3. Therapy Planning

- Develop individualized therapy goals for each child.

- Use play-based, child-friendly therapy techniques.





- Prepare structured therapy activities and learning materials.

- Monitor children's progress and modify therapy goals when required.

4. Parent Counselling and Training

- Explain the child's communication difficulties to parents.

- Conduct parent counselling and guidance sessions.

- Provide home-based speech therapy activities.

- Educate parents about communication strategies.

- Share regular progress updates.

5. Team Coordination

- Collaborate with occupational therapists, special educators, psychologists, and other professionals.

- Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions.

- Coordinate therapy goals for overall child development.

6. Documentation

- Maintain individual child therapy records.

- Prepare assessment reports and progress notes.

- Maintain attendance and session records.

- Document therapy goals and outcomes.

Educational Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP).

- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology (MASLP) preferred.

- Valid RCI registration, wherever applicable, and compliance with applicable professional registration requirements.

Experience

- Freshers with relevant clinical training can apply.

- 1–3 years of experience preferred.

- Experience working with children with Autism and developmental delays is an advantage.

- Knowledge of child development and speech-language disorders.

- Ability to handle children with developmental challenges.

- Creativity in designing play-based therapy activities.

- Good parent counselling and documentation skills.
