- Patient Preparation: Verify physician orders, check patient identity, explain procedures, and position patients accurately.
- Equipment Operation: Set exposure controls, operate X-ray or fluoroscopy machines, and adjust settings for optimal image quality.
- Radiation Safety: Follow strict protocols, use lead shields/aprons, and monitor exposure levels to protect patients and staff.
- Image Quality Assessment: Review radiographs for clarity and retake images if necessary before sending them to radiologists.
- Record Keeping: Update electronic health records, log equipment maintenance, and manage patient files.
