Responsible for ensuring that the workforce is competent, legally compliant, well-trained, and actively aligned with patient safety and quality standards as per NABH 6th edition.

Preferred candidate profile

Competency-Based Recruitment & Credentialing:

- Verifies qualifications, experience, and primary source credentials of doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff before issuing clinical privileges.
- Ensures staff are only permitted to perform clinical tasks for which they are legally and clinically authorized (Privileging & Scope of Practice)

Manpower Planning & Ratios:

- Maintains optimal staffing levels aligned with clinical requirements and guidelines (such as RMO, nursing, and support staff ratios).
- Manages shift planning, absence coverage, and equitable workload distribution to prevent staff burnout.

Induction, Onboarding & Continuous Training:

- Conducts mandatory recent employee induction training (covering hospital policies, patient safety, CPR, and infection control).
- Maps Annual Training Needs Identification (TNI)



and ensures ongoing education (such as biomedical waste management, fire safety drills, and POSH compliance).

Credentialing, Privileging & Performance Appraisal:

- Implements periodic performance evaluations (often balanced-scorecard or competency-based) linked directly to quality of care and patient safety goals.
- Maintains up-to-date, confidential personnel files and HR records.

Statutory Compliance & Workplace Safety:

- Enforces labor laws, occupational health safety protocols, and mandatory staff vaccinations.
- Operates the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) to enforce the POSH Act (Prevention of Sexual Harassment).
- Coordinates pre-employment and periodic health screenings for patient-contact staff.

Culture of Patient Safety:

- Embeds quality compliance into everyday staff behaviorensuring that safety protocols (like fall-risk identification or universal precautions) are genuinely understood and practiced rather than just documented for audits.
