The Data Center IBMS Engineer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and integration of the Integrated Building Management System (IBMS) within a mission-critical data center environment. The role involves monitoring critical building infrastructure, ensuring system availability, coordinating with MEP teams, and maintaining reliable communication between various building automation systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and operate the IBMS/BMS system for data center facilities.
- Monitor critical infrastructure systems, including:
- HVAC systems (AHU, FCU, Chillers, CRAH, CRAC).
- Electrical systems (UPS, DG, LT Panels, HT Panels, PDU).
- Fire Alarm System (FAS).
- Fire Fighting System.
- Access Control System (ACS).
- CCTV and security systems.
- Water Leak Detection System.
- Environmental monitoring systems.
- Troubleshoot IBMS alarms, communication failures, and system faults.
- Monitor real-time parameters, alarms, trends, and equipment status through IBMS workstations.
- Perform preventive maintenance and support corrective maintenance activities.
- Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and fire safety teams.
- Monitor communication protocols such as BACnet, Modbus, and SNMP.
- Support integration of third-party systems with IBMS.
- Verify field devices, sensors, actuators, controllers, and communication networks.
- Maintain alarm logs, daily reports, incident reports, and maintenance records.
- Support system testing, commissioning, and integrated system testing (IST).




- Follow data center SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and emergency response procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and data center operational standards.

Technical Skills Required

- Knowledge of IBMS/BMS architecture and operation.
- Knowledge of PLC, DDC, and automation controllers.
- Understanding of BACnet, Modbus RTU/TCP, and SNMP protocols.
- Knowledge of HVAC and electrical systems.
- Experience with SCADA/BMS monitoring platforms.
- Knowledge of sensors, actuators, control panels, and field instrumentation.
- Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, switches, communication troubleshooting).
- Knowledge of alarm management and system integration.

Educational Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics

Preferred Experience

- Experience in data center operations or critical facilities.
- Experience with IBMS/BMS monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Exposure to data center commissioning and integrated system testing.
- Knowledge of Tier III / Tier IV data center operations is an advantage.
