Job Description
We are looking for an experienced L1/L2 Network Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in FortiGate Firewalls and FortiManager to manage and support enterprise network security infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should have experience in firewall administration, VPN troubleshooting, network connectivity, incident management and L2 escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide L2 support for enterprise network and security infrastructure.
- Configure and troubleshoot FortiGate firewalls, including firewall policies, NAT and UTM features.
- Manage centralized firewall administration using FortiManager.
- Configure and troubleshoot IPSec and SSL VPN connectivity.
- Perform network troubleshooting, log analysis and root cause identification.
- Handle firewall rule conflicts and connectivity issues.
- Support firmware upgrades, patching and change implementation.
- Coordinate with L1 and L3 teams for incident resolution.
- Maintain technical documentation and follow ITIL processes.
Mandatory Skills
- Hands-on experience with FortiGate Firewall.
- Working experience with FortiManager.
- Knowledge of IPSec and SSL VPN.
- Routing and Switching fundamentals (OSPF, VLAN, etc.).
- CLI-based network troubleshooting and packet analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Netskope.
Preferred Certification
- Fortinet NSE 4 or above.
Role Requirements
- 3–5 years of relevant experience.
- Willingness to work in 24x7 rotational shifts.
- Ability to independently handle L2 escalations.
