Role & responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end US payroll processing and validation.

- Handle complex payroll issues, escalations, and multi-state taxation.

- Perform payroll audits, Build-to-Gross and Gross-to-Net reconciliations.

- Validate earnings, deductions, timekeeping data, and payroll inputs.

- Ensure compliance with US federal, state, and local tax regulations.

- Handle FICA, wage garnishments, retro payments, 401(k), and benefits deductions.

- Support payroll tax filings, SOX compliance, and statutory audits.

- Perform root cause analysis and resolve payroll discrepancies.

- Coordinate with HR, Finance, and external payroll vendors.

- Drive process improvements and automation.

- For Lead roles, mentor team members and monitor SLA/KPI performance.





Preferred candidate profile

- 2-9 years of experience in US Payroll.

- Mandatory: Hands-on PeopleSoft experience.

- Solid knowledge of end-to-end US payroll and multi-state payroll processing.

- Understanding of US payroll taxation, FICA, deductions, and compliance.

- Experience in payroll audits and reconciliations.

- Exposure to ADP, Workday, Kronos, or Compass is preferred.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, HR, or a related field.

- FPC/CPP certification is an added advantage.
