About the Role We are seeking an Associate Risk Adjustment Coder to join our Clinical Operations team. Coders in this role are expected to have a strong working knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, ICD-10-CM coding guidelines, CMS guidelines, and Risk Adjustment guidelines in order to review medical records and accurately decipher ICD-10-CM codes. This is an entry-level opportunity for candidates who are freshly trained and certified in Medical Coding or Risk Adjustment Coding and are ready to build hands-on coding experience within a structured, compliance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and analyze medical records, charts, and documentation to assign accurate ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes for Risk Adjustment (HCC) models.

- Apply working knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and clinical terminology to interpret medical records and support accurate code selection.

- Ensure coding accuracy that aligns with CMS, ICD-10-CM, and internal compliance guidelines.

- Validate clinical documentation to support submitted diagnoses and flag documentation gaps to the appropriate team.

- Work closely with the Team Leader and QA/clinical teams to resolve coding queries and discrepancies.





- Meet assigned productivity and accuracy standards during and after the training/ramp-up period.

- Actively participate in training programs, audits, and feedback sessions to build coding proficiency.

- Assist in identifying documentation trends and opportunities for improvement under guidance from senior team members.

- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations at all times.

Required Qualifications

- 0 years of experience required — this is an entry-level position for freshly certified coders / trained non-certified freshers.

- Trained in Medical Coding / Risk Adjustment Coding through a recognized training institute.

- CPC-A or CRC certification is preferred. Candidates with certification and no practical experience are encouraged to apply.

- Trained, non-certified freshers from eligible educational backgrounds may also apply. The company is willing to sponsor the required certification.

- Foundational understanding of ICD-10-CM guidelines, CMS risk adjustment models, and clinical/medical terminology.

Preferred Education Background

- Life Science — Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or Allied Health Science.

- Medical Science — BPT (Bachelor of Physiotherapy) or BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery).

Skills & Competencies

- Good foundational knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and ICD-10-CM coding guidelines.

- Robust analytical ability and attention to detail.

- Ability to interpret physician documentation accurately.

- Good communication and written skills.

- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, compliance-driven coding environment.

- Basic familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and coding platforms is an advantage.

- Ability to meet productivity and quality targets consistently after training.

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
