Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Facility Manager to oversee the school's infrastructure, facilities, maintenance, safety, and housekeeping operations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring a safe, clean, secure, and well-maintained campus while managing facility-related services, vendors, and operational budgets.

Key Responsibilities

- Facility Management: Oversee the overall maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, classrooms, laboratories, playgrounds, hostels, and other campus facilities.
- Maintenance & Operations: Manage electrical, plumbing, HVAC, civil, carpentry, and general maintenance activities.
- Housekeeping: Supervise housekeeping, sanitation, waste management, and campus cleanliness.
- Safety & Security: Ensure compliance with fire safety, health and safety regulations, emergency preparedness, and statutory requirements.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and service providers; monitor service quality and performance.
- Budget Management: Prepare facility budgets, control operational expenses, and manage maintenance costs.
- Team Management: Lead and supervise maintenance, housekeeping, gardening, security, and other facility staff.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimise breakdowns and disruptions.
- Utilities Management: Monitor electricity, water,



diesel, generators, and other utility consumption.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain maintenance records, safety audit reports, AMC contracts, licenses, and statutory documents.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Facilities Management, Engineering, Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in facility management, preferably in schools, educational institutions, hospitals, or large campuses.
- Experience in managing large facilities, maintenance teams, and multiple vendors.
- Knowledge of building maintenance, safety standards, and statutory compliance.
- Robust leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
