Role Description The Executive Microbiologist role is a full-time, on-site position based in Hubli. The role involves planning and conducting microbiological testing on gherkins and other produce to monitor product safety and hygiene standards.

The Executive

Microbiologist will perform routine laboratory analyses, manage culture media and reagents, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment, and document test results accurately. Daily responsibilities include supporting quality control and quality assurance activities, assisting in root cause analysis for non-conformities, and collaborating with production and quality teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.



The role also requires adherence to regulatory and food safety guidelines, preparation of reports, and participation in audits and internal reviews.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong microbiology knowledge and practical experience in food or agricultural microbiology.
- Candidates should possess laboratory skills and proficiency in handling laboratory equipment and basic instrumentation.
- Candidates should possess experience in quality control, including sampling, testing, and monitoring product parameters.
- Candidates should possess a sound understanding of quality assurance practices and compliance with food safety standards.
- Relevant degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Biotechnology, or a related discipline.
- Ability to follow SOPs, maintain accurate documentation, and work safely in a laboratory setting.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Prior experience in food processing, agro-based industries, or export-oriented manufacturing is an advantage.
