A in the automotive manufacturing industry oversees day-to-day assembly lines or processing cells, bridging the gap between shop-floor operators and upper management to hit safety, quality, cost, and delivery (SQCD) goals.

Responsible for managing shift-level manufacturing operations, allocating workforce resources, monitoring machine efficiency and cycle times, enforcing strict safety and 5S standards, and driving continuous improvement (Lean/Kaizen) to meet daily and monthly production targets.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Planning & Execution: Execute daily/weekly manufacturing schedules based on production targets, material availability (PPC), and customer demand.
- Floor Operations & Supervision: Oversee machine operation (e.g., assembly, stamping, or plastic injection molding), monitor cycle times, and minimize downtime.
- Manpower & Shift Management: Assign operators across workstations, manage attendance, handle shift handovers, and train multi-skilled workers.
- Quality Control & Rejection Tracking: Monitor product specifications, track rejections/rework rates, and coordinate root-cause analysis (e.g., FMEA, Poka-Yoke) with Quality Assurance (QA).
- Safety & 5S Compliance:



Enforce workplace safety regulations, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and housekeeping/5S discipline on the shop floor.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Liaise with Maintenance, Tool Room, Stores, and Logistics teams to resolve equipment breakdowns or material shortages. [1]

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, or Plastics Engineering (or a related technical field).
- Experience: Typically 2 to 6+ years of supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing or tier-1 supplier workplace (e.g., assembly, machining, or injection molding).
- Technical & Domain Skills:
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing tools (Kaizen, 5S, Poka-Yoke, FMEA).
- Understanding of production KPIs (OEE, cycle time, rejection percentage, downtime).
- Hands-on familiarity with shop-floor machinery, tooling, and basic troubleshooting.
- Soft Skills: Leadership, conflict resolution, shift communication, and team motivation.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹63,000.00 per month
