Role & responsibilities

Job Summary: The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing machine logic/programs in PLC as per defined requirements, conducting panel testing, and ensuring the effective operation of electrical systems within the ice cream factory. The role involves extensive work with PLC, HMI, Servo Systems, Motion Control, SCADA, and VFD programming. The Electrical Engineer will also manage fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs of all electrical equipment and plant machinery.

Key Responsibilities:

PLC Programming and Development:

- Develop machine logic and programs in PLC as per defined requirements.
- Perform panel testing and ensure the functionality of PLC systems.

Systems Expertise:

- Work with PLC, HMI, Servo Systems, Motion Control, SCADA, and VFD programming.
- Ensure effective and effective operation of these systems.

Technical Skills:

- Utilise expertise in Allen Bradley PLC, Siemens PLC, and HMI Programming.
- Implement and manage VFD programming.

Additional Skills:

- Apply knowledge in Programming, Profibus, Servo Drives, Modbus, EtherCAT, Profinet, Mitsubishi PLC, Motion Control, Ethernet, .Net, RS232, RS485, and SCADA.

Fault Finding and Repairs:

- Conduct fault finding, diagnosis, and repairs on all electrical equipment and plant machinery.
- Address both software and hardware issues to ensure minimal downtime.

Preventive Maintenance:





- Schedule and execute preventive maintenance for all electrical systems.
- Develop and implement strategies to prevent breakdowns and enhance system reliability.

Engineering Support:

- Provide engineering support to production teams to ensure maximum line efficiency.
- Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to resolve technical issues.

Continuous Improvement:

- Continuously improve processes and systems to ensure high standards of production.
- Implement best practices for electrical maintenance and programming.

Qualifications: Educational Background: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field.Strong knowledge of PLC systems and electrical maintenance practices.

Experience:

Relevant Experience:Proven experience of 5 years as Electrical Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment, preferably in ice cream production.Extensive experience with PLC systems and programming.

•Strong technical skills in electrical maintenance and programming.

- Proficient in PLC, HMI, Servo Systems, Motion Control, SCADA, and VFD programming.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
