Role Description The Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning of front office, guest services, and coordination with housekeeping and food and beverage teams. This full time, on-site role located in Kozhikode involves monitoring service standards, addressing guest queries and concerns, managing room allocations, and supporting check-in and check-out processes.

The Duty

Manager collaborates with department heads to resolve operational issues, maintain safety and security protocols, and ensure compliance with hotel policies. The role also includes supervising team members during assigned shifts, handling escalations, preparing brief shift reports,



and contributing to continuous improvement in guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

- Strong hotel operations and front office management skills, with experience overseeing daily shift activities and coordinating across departments.
- Customer service and guest relations skills, including the ability to handle complaints, manage expectations, and create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Leadership and team management capabilities, with experience guiding diverse staff, delegating tasks, and providing constructive feedback.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills to manage multiple priorities, respond to operational issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Effective communication skills in English; proficiency in local languages (such as Malayalam) is an advantage.
- Knowledge of hotel software systems (PMS), reservation processes, and basic revenue or occupancy management principles.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by hotel operations.
- Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; prior experience as a Duty Manager or in a supervisory role in hospitality is preferred.
