Role Description The Director of Retail Operations is a contract, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations across the retail network. This position directs store performance, ensures adherence to operating procedures, and monitors inventory, merchandising, and visual standards. The role involves leading and coaching store managers and teams, setting operational goals, and coordinating staffing, training, and performance management.

The Director will manage budgets, track sales and cost metrics, and implement initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Daily responsibilities also include ensuring exceptional customer service,



resolving escalated issues, and collaborating with senior leadership on retail strategy and process improvements.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Retail Operations and Operations Management skills to oversee multi-store performance and process implementation.
- Candidates should possess Team Management skills, including leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting and financial management skills to handle cost control, sales analysis, and profitability improvement.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to uphold service standards, manage escalations, and enhance the in-store experience.
- Experience in multi-store or regional retail leadership, preferably in fashion or lifestyle segments.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, with flexibility to visit and audit stores regularly.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with proficiency in basic office and retail management software.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Retail Management, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
