Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President – Retail Banking to lead retail banking operations, drive revenue growth, expand customer portfolios, and strengthen market presence. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in banking leadership, branch banking, relationship management, and business development, along with a proven ability to manage large teams and achieve strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and oversee retail banking business across assigned regions and customer segments.
- Develop and implement strategies for customer acquisition, retention, and portfolio growth.
- Drive revenue generation, profitability, and achievement of business targets.
- Manage and mentor branch banking and relationship management teams.
- Build and maintain relationships with high-value and priority banking customers.
- Drive cross-selling of banking, lending, investment, insurance, and other financial products.
- Monitor portfolio performance, business risks, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.
- Identify new business opportunities and implement effective market expansion strategies.




- Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Prepare and present business performance reports, forecasts, and strategic reviews.
- Ensure compliance with RBI regulations, internal policies, and applicable banking standards.

Candidate Requirements

- Graduate degree in any relevant discipline; MBA/PGDM in Finance, Banking, or Management preferred.
- 10–18 years of relevant experience in retail banking or financial services.
- Proven experience in senior banking leadership and managing large teams.
- Demonstrated success in revenue growth, customer acquisition, and portfolio management.
- Strong knowledge of retail banking products, customer segments, and branch banking operations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Sound understanding of banking risk management, regulatory requirements, and compliance.
- Candidates from leading private-sector banks, NBFCs, and established financial institutions will be preferred.
