Job Description: LC-MS/MS Analyst – Food Testing Laboratory

Role Summary

We are looking for an LC-MS/MS Analyst to perform trace-level analysis of food and agri commodities in an NABL-accredited laboratory. You will be responsible for sample preparation, instrument operation, method execution and accurate reporting of results as per ISO/IEC 17025, FSSAI and export requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, calibrate and maintain LC-MS/MS systems (e.g., Sciex, Agilent, Waters, Thermo) and associated UHPLC systems.
- Perform analysis of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues (antibiotics), mycotoxins, and other contaminants in food matrices such as fruits, vegetables, spices, honey, meat, seafood, dairy and cereals.
- Carry out sample extraction and clean-up using QuEChERS, SPE and other relevant techniques.
- Prepare standards, mobile phases, calibration curves and quality control samples.
- Develop, optimise and verify methods, including MRM transitions, matrix effect evaluation, LOD/LOQ, recovery and linearity studies.
- Process and review data using instrument software, and ensure accuracy of results and measurement uncertainty.
- Perform IQC,



participate in proficiency testing and inter-laboratory comparisons.
- Maintain raw data, worksheets, logbooks and records in line with GLP and data integrity (ALCOA+) principles.
- Troubleshoot instrument and chromatographic issues, and coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration.
- Follow SOPs, safety practices and sample traceability, and support internal and external audits (NABL, FSSAI, EIC, customer).
- Ensure timely reporting within agreed turnaround times (TAT).

Required Qualifications and Skills

- M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Technology, Biochemistry or a related field (B.Sc./B.Tech with strong relevant experience may be considered).
- 2–5 years of hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS in a food testing lab.
- Strong knowledge of residue analysis, method validation and quality control.
- Understanding of ISO/IEC 17025, FSSAI, EU/Codex MRL requirements and export testing norms.
- Positive troubleshooting, documentation and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle multiple samples and meet deadlines.

Good to Have

- Experience with GC-MS/MS, ICP-MS or HPLC alongside LC-MS/MS.
- Exposure to LIMS and software such as Analyst, MassHunter, MassLynx or Xcalibur.
- Experience in export-oriented testing (EU, USA, Japan).

Pay: ₹292,000.00 - ₹670,000.00 per year
