Role purpose

Lead precision steel fabrication across concurrent projects in carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel (SS). Deliver products to stringent dimensional tolerances and quality benchmarks aligned with global standards, while meeting safety, cost and delivery commitments.

Key responsibilities

- Set production priorities, capacity plans and project milestones. Align managers, engineers, supervisors, workmen and contractors with delivery commitments and recovery plans.
- Lead fabrication planning, including jigs, fixtures, welding sequences and distortion control, to achieve dimensional accuracy, repeatable quality and assembly fit.
- Ensure compliance with approved drawings, customer specifications, qualified welding procedures and applicable international fabrication codes. Maintain material identification and traceability.
- Resolve constraints with Engineering, Planning, Procurement, Quality, NDE and Maintenance. Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, skilled manpower and inspection clearances.
- Control labour hours, material yield, work in progress and subcontract costs. Review contractor output and billing, and correct productivity or schedule variances.
- Lead root cause analysis of defects, rework and customer complaints. Implement corrective actions and verify that recurring fabrication and welding problems are eliminated.




- Build workforce capability through skill assessment, training and coaching. Drive lean manufacturing, 5S and suitable mechanisation or automation to improve throughput.
- Enforce safe operations, maintain reliable ERP production and rework data, and review performance against targets. Ensure production records and audit actions remain current.

Candidate profile

- 15-20 years in steel fabrication, with proven leadership of production teams and delivery of precision fabricated products to demanding customer requirements.
- Robust command of engineering drawings, welding symbols, dimensional inspection and material-specific fabrication controls for carbon steel, alloy steel and SS.
- Practical knowledge of welding quality, heat treatment where specified, NDE coordination and ERP-based production management. Piping or pipe spool fabrication experience is preferred.

Performance measures On-time delivery, dimensional compliance, first-pass quality, rework reduction, labour productivity, production cost and safety performance.

Pay: ₹75,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
