Role: Design Engineer – Mechanical Design

Employment Type: Full-Time.

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer with strong expertise in SolidWorks to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 3D modelling, 2D drafting, product design, and mechanical engineering design principles.

Key Responsibilities

Develop 3D models, assemblies, and detailed 2D engineering drawings using SolidWorks.

Create and modify mechanical components, assemblies, and product designs.

Prepare manufacturing drawings with GD&T;, tolerances, and BOMs.

Perform design modifications and optimization based on engineering requirements.

Ensure designs comply with engineering standards and manufacturing feasibility.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, manufacturing, and quality.

Support prototype development, testing, and design validation.

Review engineering drawings and resolve design-related issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications





Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.

3–6 years of hands-on experience in Mechanical Design.

Expert-level proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modelling, Assembly, Sheet Metal, Surface Modelling and Drafting).

Strong knowledge of GD&T;, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes.

Understanding of machining, fabrication, sheet metal, and assembly processes.

Good knowledge of design standards, materials, and tolerances.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SolidWorks Simulation.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and other CAD tools.

Experience in product development and design optimization.

Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
