We are looking for a skilled and passionate Senior Design Engineer – Mechanical Design to join our engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design &
• Development
- Design and develop SPMs, automation systems, VMC/HMC-related systems, jigs and fixtures.
- Handle the complete design cycle from concept to commissioning.
- Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation.
1. Engineering Analysis
- Perform engineering calculations, FEA, and simulations.
- Analyse forces, torque, power, deflection, stress, vibration, and thermal effects.
1. Actuator & • Component Selection
- Select and evaluate motors, ball screws, linear guides, hydraulics, pneumatics, servo systems, sensors, spindles, and other machine components.
1. Design for Manufacturing & • Quality
- Apply DFM, DFA, DFX, and FMEA principles.
- Develop GD&T;, fits, tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Ensure practical, maintainable, and cost-effective designs.
1. Manufacturing & • Assembly Coordination
- Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and procurement teams.
- Support prototype development, trials, debugging, and commissioning.
1. Project Execution
- Track project deliverables and support engineering changes.
- Coordinate with customers on technical requirements.
Technical Skills Required
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Design and Machine Building.
- Good understanding of Machine Elements, Material Selection, and Manufacturing Processes.
- Knowledge of Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Kinematics, Vibrations, and Thermal Analysis.
- Experience with motors, drives, ball screws, linear guides, pneumatics, hydraulics, and servo systems.
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (Preferred).
- Exposure to PLM and FEA tools (Mechanical, Thermal & • Vibration).
- Knowledge of MS Office and technical documentation.
