Skyline Intermodal Inc. is hiring an experienced Intermodal Dispatcher to manage container moves through the Port of Oakland. This role is currently fully remote and based in India. You’ll book loads directly with U.S. freight brokers and coordinate each move from pickup through delivery and empty return.

Responsibilities

- Contact freight brokers by phone and email to find available loads, negotiate rates, and confirm booking details.
- Use eModal and terminal portals to check container availability, holds, and last free days, and to book or reschedule appointments.
- Coordinate pickups and empty returns across Oakland terminals, including TraPac, SSA Oakland International Container Terminal (OICT), and Everport. Verify return instructions and chassis requirements before dispatching.
- Give drivers transparent pickup and delivery instructions, track each move, and keep brokers updated on delays or appointment changes.




- Collect proof of delivery and report detention, storage, or other additional charges promptly.

Requirements

- Hands-on experience dispatching U.S. intermodal or port drayage loads.
- Experience booking loads directly with freight brokers and communicating confidently in English by phone and email.
- Working knowledge of eModal and Oakland terminal procedures for pickups, appointments, and empty returns.
- Must have a reliable PC and a stable internet connection for remote work.
