Job Description:

This position is based on Kolhapur Location JB-11 and no accommodation basis.

Job Purpose

To assist in attending electrical, mechanical and utility machines related issues in addition to assisting in ensuring timely machine upkeep and regular observation of sensitive machines. To assist in handling and training workers for smooth maintenance processes.

Job Context & Major Challenges

The engineering department in GPFPL is responsible for maintenance of machines including breakdown handling in addition to controlling resource consumption in all departments. The department has two divisions- electrical and mechanical. The job holder has to implement the maintenance schedule for machines and supervise workers in handling machine issues such as breakdowns, less speed, over consumption of resources etc.

KRA1

To assist in attending electrical, mechanical and utility machines related issues

- Implementing shift maintenance activities through workers based on machine issue priorities communicated

- Carrying out machine observation through shop floor rounds

- Supervising workers in handling machine breakdowns

KRA2

To assist in timely machine upkeep and regular observation of sensitive machines

- Taking readings of critical machines on a periodic basis

- Carrying out increased observation for sensitive machines

- Supervising workers in monthly scheduled maintenance plan followed by checking through trials

- Ensuring adherence to machine maintenance checklist during scheduled maintenance

KRA3

To assist in handling and training workers for smooth maintenance processes

- Managing leave, attendance, late coming and shift scheduling of workers

- Assigning tasks to workers on daily basis based on maintenance priorities
