A. Installation & Commissioning

Carry out installation, testing, and commissioning of DG sets at customer locations.

Inspect electrical connections, fuel systems, cooling systems, and other components.

Ensure proper functioning of DG sets before handing over to customers.

Coordinate with customers and internal teams for installation and commissioning activities.

B. Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of DG sets as per OEM guidelines.

Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical, and engine-related faults.

Attend breakdown calls and ensure timely resolution of customer complaints.

Conduct routine inspections of engine oil, coolant, fuel filters, air filters, batteries, belts, and hoses.

Replace defective parts and carry out necessary repairs.

C. Troubleshooting & Technical Support

Identify faults related to engines, alternators, control panels, AMF panels, and electrical systems.

Troubleshoot starting problems, overheating, abnormal noise, vibration, low output, and other operational issues.

Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify root causes.

Provide technical guidance to customers on the proper operation and maintenance of DG sets.

D. Customer Service & Coordination

Attend customer service calls and ensure timely response.

Maintain skilled relationships with customers and resolve technical queries.

Explain maintenance requirements, operating procedures, and safety precautions.

Coordinate with the service team for spare parts, technical assistance, and escalation of complex issues.

E. Documentation & Reporting

Prepare service reports after every site visit.

Maintain records of preventive maintenance, breakdown calls, spare parts consumed, and repairs completed.

Submit daily service reports and update the service team on pending complaints.

Maintain records of customer complaints, service history, and equipment performance.

F. Safety & Compliance

Follow company safety procedures and applicable electrical and mechanical safety standards.





Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working at customer sites.

Ensure safe isolation of electrical systems before carrying out maintenance.

Maintain cleanliness and proper handling of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Follow applicable environmental requirements for used oil, filters, and other waste materials

Qualification- ITI Mechanical/Electrical

Experience- 2-3 years (Freshers May Apply)

Installation & Commissioning

Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of DG sets at customer locations.

Check engine, alternator, control panels, batteries, and associated electrical connections.

Ensure DG sets are installed and operated as per manufacturer guidelines.

B. Preventive Maintenance

Perform scheduled servicing of DG sets as per maintenance schedules.

Change engine oil, oil filters, fuel filters, and air filters as required.

Inspect coolant levels, belts, hoses, batteries, fuel systems, and lubrication systems.

Conduct routine checks to ensure efficient and safe operation.

C. Breakdown & Troubleshooting

Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical faults in DG sets.

Troubleshoot engine starting issues, abnormal noise, overheating, oil pressure problems, and electrical faults.

Attend breakdown calls and provide timely service support at customer sites.

Replace defective components and carry out necessary repairs.

D. Customer Service & Documentation

Visit customer sites for scheduled maintenance and breakdown services.

Explain equipment operation and basic maintenance requirements to customers.

Maintain service reports, job cards, maintenance checklists, and spare parts records.

Obtain customer confirmation after completion of service work.

Report major technical issues to the Service Engineer or Service Manager.

E. Safety & Compliance

Follow all safety procedures while working on DG sets and electrical equipment.

Use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Ensure safe handling of fuel, lubricants, batteries, and tools.

Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping at the worksite.
