MarineZen Private Limited invites passionate students and recent graduates to join our Aquaculture Research Internship Program.

Interns will gain hands-on experience working on our innovative Vertical Crab Farming System integrated with Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) technology, along with exposure to Biofloc Technology (BFT) and sustainable aquaculture practices.

This internship offers practical exposure to modern aquaculture operations, mud crab farming, water quality monitoring, biological filtration, biofloc systems, laboratory testing and applied aquaculture research.

Selected interns will work closely with our aquaculture and research team, participating in ongoing farm operations, experimental activities, pilot projects and technology validation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Aquaculture & Vertical Crab Farming

- Assist in daily operations of the Vertical Crab Farming System.
- Monitor crab growth, feeding behaviour, molting and overall health.
- Support soft-shell crab production and farming experiments.
- Maintain feeding schedules, farm records and production data.

2. Water Quality Monitoring & Management

- Monitor dissolved oxygen (DO), pH, temperature and salinity.
- Perform ammonia, nitrite and nitrate testing.
- Collect water samples and maintain water quality records.
- Identify abnormal water conditions and report observations.

3. RAS, Biofloc & Biological Filtration

- Assist in the operation and monitoring of Recirculating Aquaculture Systems (RAS).
- Support mechanical and biological filtration processes.
- Gain exposure to Biofloc Technology (BFT)



and microbial water management.
- Observe biofloc formation and monitor relevant water quality parameters during experiments.
- Support sand filter, biofilter and water circulation management.
- Participate in research related to microbial filtration and sustainable water treatment.

4. Research & Laboratory Activities

- Assist with laboratory experiments and water sample analysis.
- Support microbial culture and biological research activities.
- Participate in farm trials and experimental observations.
- Prepare technical reports, research documentation and performance records.

Students pursuing or graduates from the following disciplines are encouraged to apply:

- B.F.Sc. / M.F.Sc. – Fisheries Science
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Zoology
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Marine Biology / Marine Science
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Biotechnology
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Microbiology
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Botany
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. – Life Sciences
- Environmental Science and other relevant biological disciplines.

Freshers and recent graduates are welcome to apply. Previous crab farming or aquaculture industry experience is not mandatory.
