Responsibilities

Business Development

- Support the growth of an assigned micro-niche through market research, industry mapping and talent intelligence.
- Identify key decision-makers and support outreach initiatives to understand their hiring needs.
- Assist in client onboarding activities, including lead generation, presentations and fee discussions, using Sturgeon's internal tools and methodologies.
- Stay abreast of market news, economics, fundings, M&As; and policy changes that could impact hiring trends.
- Keep track of talent movement, competitor activity and key developments within the assigned niche.
- Build an understanding of the client landscape and contribute to developing long-term client relationships.

Recruitment

- Network with professionals from the assigned niche on a regular basis, irrespective of an active mandate.
- Map the talent landscape based on function, level and geography to leverage that intelligence on live searches.
- Understand client requirements and provide inputs to write/refine job descriptions and discuss sourcing strategies.
- Source suitable candidates through relevant channels and pitch opportunities to them, ensuring a high conversion rate.




- Conduct in-depth interviews with prospects to assess their suitability and create quality shortlists for clients.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including interview scheduling, candidate and client debriefs, offer negotiations and handholding candidates until joining.
- Take ownership of recruitment delivery, turnaround time (TAT) and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Maintain accurate candidate, client and market information using Sturgeon's internal tools and trackers.
- Ensure consistent follow-ups with candidates and clients to maintain process momentum and deliver a positive experience.
- Be a custodian of Sturgeon's code of ethics and quality standards.
- Support and guide junior team members wherever required.

- Individuals with prior experience in recruitment delivery, talent acquisition, executive search or recruitment consulting.
- Robust sourcing, candidate assessment, talent mapping and market research capabilities.
- Ability to understand job requirements, identify relevant talent pools and deliver quality candidate shortlists.
- Ambitious and self-driven individuals who thrive in a target-based environment.
- Strong ownership and accountability towards recruitment delivery, timelines and outcomes.
- High attention to detail, consistency and quality of work.
- Good communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- High IQ as well as EQ, with the ability to build meaningful professional relationships.
- Individuals who demonstrate integrity, dependability and a strong work ethic.
- Candidates based in Mumbai, with the ability to work from the Mumbai office.
