We are seeking an experienced Concrete and Shuttering Supervisor to oversee RCC and formwork operations on a high-rise mixed-use development project. The candidate will be responsible for supervising day-to-day concrete and shuttering activities on site, ensuring work is executed in line with approved drawings, quality standards, and project timelines, while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities The supervisor will oversee all shuttering and formwork activities, including system formwork such as aluminum, plywood, or climbing formwork, ensuring correct installation, alignment, levels, and plumb for columns, shear walls, slabs, beams, and staircases. They will supervise reinforcement placement coordination with the steel fixing team, verifying that rebar, cover blocks, spacers, and embedments are correctly positioned prior to concrete pours, and will conduct pre-pour checks jointly with the quality team to confirm formwork integrity, cleanliness, and readiness.
A significant part of the role involves planning and supervising concrete pouring sequences, including coordination of ready-mix concrete (RMC) delivery, pump placement, vibration, and curing practices to achieve required strength and finish quality. The supervisor will monitor shuttering stripping and reuse cycles to optimize material utilization and maintain the pour cycle schedule, which is particularly critical on high-rise and mixed-use projects involving repetitive floor plates alongside varying podium, retail, and tower geometries.
The role requires close coordination with the design and planning teams to interpret structural drawings accurately, resolve in office discrepancies, and ensure correct implementation of construction joints, pour breaks, and sequencing, especially at transitions between different building typologies within the mixed-use development (such as podium-to-tower transfer structures, basements, and core walls). The supervisor will also manage labor and subcontractor crews engaged in shuttering and concreting works, ensuring productivity targets are met without compromising on quality or safety.
Maintaining daily progress records, pour registers, and material consumption logs, along with reporting progress and issues to the Project Engineer or Project Manager, is a core responsibility. The supervisor will also ensure strict compliance with safety protocols specific to high-rise construction, including working-at-height procedures, formwork load calculations, and safe scaffolding and climbing formwork practices.
Required Qualifications And Experience
Candidates should hold a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, with a minimum of six to ten years of hands-on supervisory experience in RCC and shuttering works, specifically on high-rise buildings (G+30 and above) and preferably with exposure to mixed-use developments combining residential, commercial, retail, and/or hospitality components. Proven experience with system formwork technologies (aluminum formwork, climbing/jump form systems, or similar) is essential, along with a strong understanding of concrete mix design, curing methods, and quality control procedures specific to high-rise structures.
