Designation: Special Educator

Roles & Responsibilities

- To provide specialised educational support to students with diverse learning needs and disabilities.
- To identify students' individual learning difficulties and educational requirements.
- To prepare and implement Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) as per students' needs.
- To use inclusive teaching strategies and appropriate learning materials.
- To provide individual and small-group teaching support wherever required.
- To monitor students' academic, social, emotional and behavioural development.
- To assess students' progress and maintain individual progress records.
- To coordinate with class teachers, parents, counsellors and school management.
- To guide teachers in adopting inclusive classroom practices.
- To support students in developing communication, social, behavioural and life skills.
- To ensure a safe, supportive and inclusive learning setting.
- To maintain confidentiality of students' records and personal information.




- To organise parent meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- To perform any other duties assigned by the Principal or School Management.

Reporting Authority: Principal / Academic Coordinator / Special Education Coordinator.

Primary Objective: To ensure inclusive education by providing appropriate learning support, promoting individual abilities and facilitating the academic, social, emotional and overall development of students with special educational needs.

Required Qualification & Experience

- Relevant qualification in Special Education (RCI-recognised, wherever applicable).
- Valid RCI registration, wherever required for the role.
- Experience in handling students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Strong communication, patience, empathy and classroom management skills.
