Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Control Engineer to manage and monitor quality control activities at our construction project in Ulundurpet, Tamil Nadu. The candidate should have strong knowledge of civil and structural construction, quality inspections, material testing, and quality documentation.

Qualification

- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering.
- 5–10 years of relevant experience in construction quality control.
- Experience in industrial buildings, factories, warehouses or commercial building projects is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and inspect civil and structural construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and applicable IS codes.
- Conduct quality inspections for reinforcement, formwork, concreting, masonry, plastering and finishing works.
- Verify construction materials and coordinate cube tests, sieve analysis, soil tests and other laboratory tests as applicable.
- Prepare and maintain Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) and quality reports.




- Ensure that materials and workmanship meet project quality requirements.
- Identify non-conformities, issue NCRs where required, and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, consultants, PMC representatives and third-party testing agencies.
- Maintain quality records, test reports, inspection checklists and documentation.
- Ensure proper implementation of the project Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) plan.
- Conduct regular site inspections and ensure timely closure of quality observations.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of civil construction QA/QC procedures.
- Familiarity with IS codes, project specifications and construction standards.
- Experience in concrete technology, material testing and structural inspections.
- Valuable technical documentation and reporting skills.
- Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to independently manage site quality control activities.

Salary

₹40,000–₹60,000 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
